PM visit to Gwadar ensures CPEC progress

Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to Gwadar to sign the Memorandum of Understandings and to lay the foundation stone of a couple of projects, ensures progress of CPEC in Gwadar.
The PM’s visit to Gwadar underlines the rapid progress on the development of Gwadar Port and Free Trade Zone, which would promote regional connectivity and economic integration.
The PM will inaugurate three factories in Gwadar under the vision of boosting economic activity. CPEC, the Game changer, is all set to make wonders in Pakistan’s economy. Many industries are established and many more are yet to come.
PM Khan will perform Ground Breaking ceremony of the projects including Gwadar Fertilizer Plant, Gwadar Animal Vaccine Plant, Henan Agricultural industrial Park, Hengmei Lubricants Plant, Gwadar Free Zone Phase 2 and Gwadar Expo Centre.
 The Inauguration of phase 2 of Gwadar port is the historic milestone for the development of Gwadar under CPEC. It will be a game changer for the people of Baluchistan. Gwadar free zone Phase 1 was 60 acres while Phase 2 is going to be 2200 acres.
“North free zone of Gwadar is 35 times bigger than the phase 1 industrial zone of Gwadar. This reflects the growing interest of Chinese & other investors in Gwadar free zone,” said Federal Minister for Planning, Development, Reforms and Special Initiatives, Asad Umar in a tweet.
The three major projects which are already under construction in Gwadar Baluchistan include Gwadar International Airport, Vocational and Training Institute Gwadar and 150 Bed Hospital at Gwadar (GDA Hospital).
According to Prime Minister Khan,  CPEC is a transformational project. In its first phase, CPEC has helped us in removing major infrastructure bottlenecks and addressed our essential energy needs for unimpeded growth and development.
Among 70 early-harvest projects, 46 have been launched or completed with a total investment of $ 25.4 billion creating 70,000 local jobs. While in the second phase of CPEC, the focus is on industrialization, agricultural cooperation, socio-economic development, and job creation.
